Broadcast Cloud Engineer (Video)
Host Broadcast Services (HBS) is seeking a Broadcast Cloud Engineer (Video) to join our Digital team in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. HBS is a leading independent host broadcast specialist, delivering world-class broadcast solutions for major sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup™, to a global audience. This role offers a hybrid work setup and requires proficiency in both English and French.
As a Broadcast Cloud Engineer, you will lead and support the end-to-end delivery of live event broadcasts, ensuring seamless video signal flow from stadium to screen. Your responsibilities include monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cloud and video workflows, coordinating project timelines and stakeholders, driving innovation through scripting and automation tools, and supporting post-event reporting and knowledge sharing. Occasional travel to support high-profile global events is also part of the role.
The ideal candidate has previous exposure to live broadcast environments, hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms, proficiency in Python and modern scripting for automation, and a solid understanding of video workflows, encoding, and streaming protocols such as SRT. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential, along with fluency in both French and English, spoken and written.
