Broadcast Cloud Engineer (Video)

Host Broadcast Services (HBS) is seeking a Broadcast Cloud Engineer (Video) to join our Digital team in London. HBS is a leading, independent host broadcast specialist dedicated to delivering world-class broadcast solutions for major sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup™, to a global audience. This permanent position offers a hybrid work setup and involves occasional international travel of up to two months.

In this role, you will lead and support the end-to-end delivery of live event broadcasts, ensuring seamless video signal flow from stadium to screen. Your responsibilities include monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cloud and video workflows, coordinating project timelines and stakeholders, driving innovation through scripting and automation tools, and supporting post-event reporting and knowledge sharing.

The ideal candidate will have previous exposure to live broadcast environments, hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms, proficiency in Python and modern scripting for automation, a solid understanding of video workflows, encoding, and streaming protocols such as SRT, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
