Backend Software Engineer
The Backend Software Engineer role at Betsson Group is part of the Player Rewards & Gamification Product Development team in Malaga. This team focuses on enhancing customer engagement and loyalty by delivering features such as tournaments and dynamic personalized campaigns. Key responsibilities include designing and developing distributed backend services and event-driven architecture, collaborating with product and commercial teams to transform engagement ideas into scalable solutions, and optimizing the microservice ecosystem for performance and reliability. The role also involves driving the containerization and cloud migration strategy, participating in architectural discussions, writing maintainable code, conducting code reviews, and contributing to incident resolution and on-call rotations.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience with C# and frameworks, proficiency in databases like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, or Couchbase, and familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and containerization tools like Kubernetes and Docker. Experience with testing frameworks like xUnit or NUnit, and a strong understanding of unit, integration, and performance testing are also important. Additional experience with messaging systems, observability tools, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed system architectures is beneficial.
