Analyst, Financial Modeling
AlphaSense is seeking an Analyst, Financial Modeling to join its growing Financial Modeling team within the Customer & Product Support department. This role involves leveraging technical knowledge of AlphaSense's solutions with a deep understanding of user needs to maximize platform value. The analyst will build bespoke client financial models, maintain template libraries using Excel add-ins, and contribute to product development. Key responsibilities include developing custom financial models for clients worldwide, ensuring accuracy and error-free outputs that reflect complex business operations. The analyst will collaborate closely with internal teams to help clients maximize the value of AlphaSense's product offerings. Maintaining comprehensive documentation of assumptions, methodologies, and formulas used in models is essential. The role also involves performing rigorous testing to validate model outputs and modifying models to accommodate changing business circumstances, regulatory changes, or new data.
Candidates should possess a postgraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, along with professional qualifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM). A minimum of 1-3 years of client-facing experience is required. Deep expertise in finance and experience building financial models in Excel are essential, as is the ability to interpret financial data and conduct analysis. Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and financial analysis terminology, such as discounted cash flow (DCF) and financial statements, is necessary. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, effective communication and presentation abilities, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office suite products are also required.
Preferred qualifications include experience using CapIQ, Bloomberg, or similar Excel add-ins, knowledge of VBA, and an interest in AI, technology, and software applications.
