03.QA Automation Engineer
PayPay India is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to enhance our payment systems and deliver the best customer experience. PayPay, a fintech company providing a service enjoyed by over 70 million users (as of July 2025) merely 7 years since its launch in 2018 in Japan. In this role, you will analyze testing requirements, design and create test cases based on specifications, and maintain and update test cases. You will prepare test data, tools, and environments needed for test execution, execute functional and non-functional tests, and report and track defects. Additionally, you will support knowledge management and collaboration through participation in testing discussions and improving testing collateral through lessons learned. You will also provide training and instructions to newcomers and serve as a Subject Matter Expert in responsible areas.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4-8 years of experience as a QA Engineer or QA Leader, with the ability to understand and analyze technical specifications and experience in designing and creating test cases. Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, such as ALM, TestRail, TestLink, or QASymphony, is required. Hands-on experience in Agile Scrum and Waterfall Software Development Lifecycle is essential. A minimum of 2 years of experience in running and maintaining automated test cases for mobile apps, web apps, or APIs is necessary. Professional experience with frameworks/tools like Appium for mobile apps, Selenium for web-based apps, or Unirest/Rest Assured for APIs is expected. Proficiency in Continuous Integration and Continuous Development tools, like Jenkins or Bitrise, is also required. Experience in writing SQL, Java, or C# to develop automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend database testing is important. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, self-driven and proactive attitude, teamwork, open-mindedness, and good communication style are essential.
Preferred qualifications include an ISTQB or equivalent certificate, experience in testing mobile applications (Android and iOS), working with microservices, Docker and Kubernetes, and working under a fast-paced development environment in the IT/Web industry. Experience in developing the standardization of QA processes and methodology, proposing improvements in QA processes, and introducing new QA tools in the test process is also desirable.
