05.Frontend Engineer

PayPay India is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team in Gurugram. As a leading fintech company with over 70 million users since our 2018 launch in Japan, we are expanding our development base in India to leverage the country's rich talent pool and continue delivering innovative payment solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering product features end-to-end, translating requirements into clean, scalable UI implementations with well-structured components and predictable data flow. You will build reusable UI components and patterns, contribute to and extend our design system using tools like Storybook, and prioritize consistency, accessibility, and developer ergonomics. Additionally, you will integrate APIs, handle real-world states, write maintainable, modular code, optimize performance and reliability, and collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers.

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of professional frontend development experience, strong JavaScript fundamentals, and solid experience in React and/or Vue. You should possess proven ability to write readable, modular, production-quality code, strong problem-solving skills with practical data structures and algorithms knowledge, performance awareness to identify bottlenecks and implement pragmatic optimizations, and the ability to do low-level design for frontend features. Good communication skills to explain approaches and tradeoffs clearly are also essential.
