VP, Senior Backend Developer - GalaxyOne
Galaxy is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join the GalaxyOne team, focusing on developing robust and scalable backend systems for web and mobile applications. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems, APIs, and databases that support GalaxyOne's web and mobile applications. You will collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features and services. Additionally, you will implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment, including code reviews and automated testing frameworks.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with at least 7 years of experience in backend development, including 2 years in a senior role. Proficiency in Node.js, Express, TypeScript, and related frameworks like Nest.js is required. Strong experience with SQL databases, microservices, event-based architecture, and familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization tools are also essential.
Galaxy offers a competitive base salary ranging from $175,000 to $220,000, along with a discretionary bonus.
