VP, Protocol Engineer (Validators)
Galaxy is seeking a Vice President, Protocol Engineer (Validators) to join our Blockchain Engineering Team. This team is dedicated to deploying, securing, and optimizing validator infrastructure across multiple blockchain networks, ensuring high availability, security, and performance to support decentralized networks. As a global leader in digital assets and data center infrastructure, Galaxy operates at the intersection of finance and technology, delivering solutions that accelerate progress in finance and artificial intelligence.
In this role, you will design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure and systems related to our blockchain participation and custody offerings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in infrastructure, monitoring, system automation, and incident response. Additionally, you will develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, scaling, and recovery processes, and implement monitoring and observability tools to ensure the health, performance, and stability of our blockchain infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Protocol, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineer with prior software engineering or application development experience in modern programming languages such Go, Rust, or C/C++. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Bash is essential, along with a demonstrated understanding of blockchain infrastructure, including proof-of-stake consensus and web3 technologies. A strong background in compute-infrastructure systems, observability, debugging strategies, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are also required.
