VP, Algo/SOR Developer
Galaxy is seeking an experienced Algo/SOR Developer to join our London team. This role involves developing and benchmarking execution algorithms from the ground up, contributing to the core of our next-generation trading infrastructure. Galaxy is a global leader in digital assets and data center infrastructure, delivering solutions that accelerate progress in finance and artificial intelligence.
The successful candidate will design and develop a low-latency, high-throughput EMS/Smart Order Router system. Responsibilities include implementing intelligent routing algorithms based on execution quality, liquidity, latency, and cost, collaborating with traders and product managers to refine routing logic, monitoring and optimizing system performance under real-world trading conditions, contributing to system resilience and business continuity, and providing support for production trading issues.
Candidates should have over 8 years of experience developing routing strategies for specific markets, such as FX markets or crypto exchanges, using Java. Required skills include knowledge of tick data analytics and real-time market data processing, familiarity with cloud-based market access or hybrid deployments, experience in high-frequency or algorithmic trading environments, building low-latency systems, and working with multicast/unicast market data feeds. A solid understanding of the application and infrastructure stack associated with electronic and algorithmic trading, proficiency with trading system architecture (OMS/EMS, market gateways), and strong understanding of concurrency, networking, and memory management are also essential. Experience with Linux systems and performance profiling tools, along with a proactive, problem-solving mindset, is required.
