Vice President, Software Engineer - Finance Engineering
Galaxy is seeking a skilled Python developer to join its dynamic Financial Engineering team in London. As a Vice President, Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building innovative reporting solutions that drive key financial decisions within the company. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and finance, tackling complex challenges in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Finance Engineering team to maintain and enhance existing solutions, develop new tools in partnership with internal Finance and Accounting clients, and provide first-line support by addressing client queries and resolving issues. Additionally, you will contribute to new Finance Engineering initiatives, ensuring the continuous improvement and efficiency of financial systems.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent programming skills in Python, with strong working knowledge of Pandas and PySpark libraries, and a solid understanding of relational databases and SQL. Experience with integrating multiple platforms, ETL processes, and providing first-line support for business clients is essential. A comprehensive understanding of the full software development lifecycle and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are also required.
