Transportation Litigation Attorney
Wilson Elser is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Litigation Attorney to join our Louisville office. This role involves representing a large logistics services provider in complex litigation cases within the transportation sector. The position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement and the opportunity to collaborate with talented colleagues across the country.
Key responsibilities include managing a litigation caseload under the supervision of senior attorneys, conducting legal research related to transportation laws and regulations, drafting legal documents such as pleadings and motions, attending court hearings and mediations, and negotiating settlements on behalf of clients. The attorney will also ensure compliance with relevant laws and company policies throughout the litigation process and collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices.
The ideal candidate will have a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to practice in the state of Kentucky, with licensure in Ohio and/or Indiana considered a plus. A minimum of 5 years of general litigation experience is required, with preference given to those with experience in transportation and logistics, trucking, and related regulatory matters. Superior analytical skills, strong written and oral communication abilities, and experience with depositions and motion practice are also desired.
