Wilson Elser, a leading defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices nationwide, is seeking a National Litigation & Claims Management Attorney to join their Atlanta office. The attorney will independently manage a nationwide litigation caseload from inception through resolution, conduct thorough investigations, and proactively identify discovery issues unique to each case. Responsibilities include developing strategic discovery responses tailored to individual cases while ensuring alignment with overarching national litigation strategies, continuously monitoring and evaluating discovery processes to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation, and managing and improving a national claims program by identifying efficiencies and scalable solutions. The role also involves partnering closely with attorneys, partners, and clients to develop case strategies and discovery plans, collaborating across offices and practice groups to deliver seamless, team-oriented service, and adapting quickly to shifting priorities, emerging legal issues, and evolving client needs.
Candidates must possess a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to practice in at least one state. A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience with strong discovery expertise is required. Experience handling multi-jurisdictional litigation and/or national claims programs is preferred, along with a background in transportation, logistics, trucking, or related regulatory frameworks. Familiarity with emerging e-commerce or gig economy legal issues is a plus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage high-volume work in a fast-paced environment, possess strong client counseling and relationship management skills, and exhibit excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional written and oral communication skills and advanced technical proficiency with litigation and discovery tools are also essential.
