Therapy Development Representative - Cincy/Dayton, OH
Inspire Medical Systems Inc. is seeking a Therapy Development Representative to enhance awareness and adoption of its FDA-approved therapy for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in the Cincinnati/Dayton, Ohio area. This role involves educating healthcare providers, supporting referral growth, and collaborating with Territory Managers to expand the patient pipeline. The position reports to the Regional Manager and requires travel within the designated territory.
Key responsibilities include planning and executing weekly customer-targeting sequences, educating primary care physicians, internal medicine specialists, cardiologists, and other providers on OSA management, and implementing initiatives to increase patient identification and therapy adoption. The representative will also support community education programs, partner with Territory Managers to enhance physician engagement, conduct market assessments to identify growth opportunities, and maintain customer engagement records in the CRM system. Clinical duties may involve providing coverage as needed and understanding implant and patient-care pathways.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree with at least two years of experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical device sales, or four years of sales experience in these industries without a bachelor's degree, or two years of experience working directly with Inspire Medical Systems therapy in a clinical setting. The role requires the ability to travel within the territory, including overnight stays, a valid driver's license, and the physical capability to lift and move materials or equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Preferred qualifications include referral development or market development experience, territory support or account management experience, clinical experience supporting healthcare providers, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools, and a demonstrated willingness to relocate for advancement opportunities.
