Therapy Development Representative - Knoxville/Nashville, TN
Inspire Medical Systems Inc. is seeking a Therapy Development Representative to join their team in the Knoxville/Nashville, TN area. This role focuses on promoting awareness of Inspire's FDA-approved therapy for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) by educating healthcare providers and expanding the patient pipeline. The representative will report to the Regional Manager and collaborate with Territory Managers to support business initiatives and pipeline growth.
Key responsibilities include planning and executing weekly customer targeting sequences, educating primary care physicians, internal medicine specialists, cardiologists, and other providers who treat or manage patients with OSA. The role also involves executing referral channel growth initiatives to increase patient identification and therapy adoption, supporting monthly community education programs and awareness events, and partnering with Territory Managers to expand physician engagement and practice growth opportunities. Additional duties encompass conducting market assessments to identify growth opportunities and referral gaps, supporting Territory Managers in growing the territory pipeline and increasing pipeline conversion, and logging customer engagements in CRM.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical device sales. Alternatively, four years of sales experience in these industries or two years of experience working directly with Inspire Medical Systems therapy in a clinical setting are acceptable. The role requires the ability to travel within the territory or region, including overnight travel as needed, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Physical demands include the ability to lift and move materials or equipment weighing up to 40 pounds and perform routine standing, sitting, bending, and reaching.
