Therapy Development Representative - Birmingham, AL
Inspire Medical Systems Inc. is seeking a Therapy Development Representative in Birmingham, Alabama, to promote their FDA-approved therapy for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). This role involves educating healthcare providers, expanding referral channels, and supporting community education programs. The representative will report to the Regional Manager and collaborate with Territory Managers to enhance the therapy's adoption and patient conversion rates.
Key responsibilities include planning and executing weekly customer-targeting sequences, educating primary care physicians, internal medicine specialists, cardiologists, and other providers on OSA management, and supporting monthly community education events. The role also involves conducting market assessments to identify growth opportunities, logging customer engagements in CRM, and providing clinical coverage as needed. Additionally, the representative will develop an understanding of implant procedures, patient pathways, and therapy delivery processes.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical device sales. Alternatively, four years of sales experience in these industries or two years of direct experience with Inspire Medical Systems therapy in a clinical setting are acceptable. The role requires the ability to travel within the territory, including overnight stays, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Preferred qualifications include referral development or market development experience, territory support or account management experience, and clinical experience supporting healthcare providers.
The compensation package includes a base salary of $105,000 per year, with additional benefits such as health insurance, 401(k) matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), flexible time off (FTO), and tuition reimbursement.
