Therapy Development Representative - Austin, TX
Inspire Medical Systems Inc. is seeking a Therapy Development Representative in Austin, TX, to promote their FDA-approved medical device designed for individuals with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) who cannot tolerate or benefit from CPAP therapy. This role is integral to expanding the therapy's reach by educating healthcare providers and increasing patient adoption. The representative will report to the Regional Manager and collaborate with Territory Managers to support business initiatives.
Key responsibilities include planning and executing customer targeting sequences, educating primary care physicians, internal medicine specialists, cardiologists, and other providers on OSA management, and implementing referral channel growth initiatives to boost patient identification and therapy adoption. The role also involves supporting community education programs, partnering with Territory Managers to enhance physician engagement, conducting market assessments to identify growth opportunities, and maintaining CRM records of customer interactions. Clinical coverage may be provided as needed, and the representative will develop an understanding of implant procedures, patient pathways, and therapy delivery processes.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical device sales. Alternatively, four years of sales experience in these industries or two years of direct experience with Inspire Medical Systems therapy in a clinical setting are acceptable. The role requires the ability to travel within the territory, including overnight stays, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Preferred qualifications include referral or market development experience, territory support or account management experience, clinical experience supporting healthcare providers, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools, and a demonstrated willingness to relocate for advancement opportunities.
