Technology Support Specialist
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a leading global law firm with offices across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Technology Support Specialist I to join their Chicago office. This role is integral to the firm's Information Technology department, focusing on providing essential support for computer and audiovisual hardware to ensure end-user productivity and efficiency.
As a Technology Support Specialist I, you will be responsible for responding to end-user hardware requests, performing restorative actions to resolve problems, and properly logging all requests and their resolutions. You will also escalate critical issues to other local-team members or to Firm IT for level-3 support, research and locate available tools and processes to identify and avert troublesome trends, and provide support for audiovisual and video conferencing systems and meetings. Additionally, you will unpack, set up, test, and install all new equipment received by the local office, track the type and location of equipment, and perform initial diagnoses of reported hardware errors.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree in a related field and a minimum of one year of experience in hardware and basic software support at a professional services organization, or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Strong customer service orientation, technical skills, and interpersonal skills are required. A working knowledge of office productivity software, the Microsoft operating system, and/or audiovisual technologies is essential.
