Legal Administrative Coordinator
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a leading global law firm with offices across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Legal Administrative Coordinator (LAC) to support its Litigation Practice Group in Boston. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative, secretarial, and document processing support, emphasizing superior client service within a collaborative work environment. The position requires an in-office presence three days per week, as scheduled by the manager, to foster an integrated and collaborative work culture.
Key responsibilities include utilizing Task Delegation and Workflow Management software (BigHand) to manage assignments, assisting with word processing tasks such as editing and proofreading correspondence and reports, and managing attorney calendars by scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings. Additional duties encompass processing new business intake forms, handling expense reports and invoices, arranging travel itineraries, and providing legal research and case support. The LAC will also coordinate printing, scanning, and copying of documents, maintain electronic and physical files, and assist with time entry and billing processes.
Candidates should possess at least two years of administrative support experience, preferably within a law firm setting, and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF software. Experience supporting a Litigation practice, including familiarity with court rules and filing procedures, is highly desirable. A bachelor's degree is advantageous, and flexibility to work overtime is required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential.
The compensation for this role ranges from $69,817 to $91,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
