Technical Operations Manager
The Technical Operations Manager at Wayve serves as a pivotal link between the Science, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams, ensuring seamless integration and execution of technical strategies. This role is instrumental in transitioning Wayve from a research-focused entity to a commercially viable autonomous vehicle organization capable of delivering high-quality solutions to customers and partners.
Key responsibilities include translating high-level program plans into actionable on-road strategies in collaboration with Fleet Operations leadership, leading both internal and external testing and validation programs, and maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols. The manager will also facilitate cross-functional alignment by establishing structured feedback loops between field operations and development teams, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in testing methodologies.
Candidates should possess substantial experience in technical program management or operations within complex environments such as autonomous systems, robotics, aerospace, or advanced mobility. Essential skills include strong facilitation and stakeholder management abilities, proficiency in test planning and operational readiness frameworks, and the capacity to influence across diverse teams and functions. Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills are also required.
