Senior Legal Counsel (Regulatory)
Wayve is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to lead its regulatory legal function as the company scales globally. The Senior Legal Counsel will advise on regulatory strategy and compliance across multiple jurisdictions, focusing on emerging technologies such as autonomous vehicles and artificial intelligence. Responsibilities include monitoring and interpreting relevant laws and regulations, engaging with regulators and government bodies, and providing guidance on product safety and consumer protection. The role also involves developing scalable processes and governance structures to support the company's growth and managing external counsel as needed.
Candidates should be qualified lawyers with over six years of post-qualification experience, preferably in England and Wales, though other relevant qualifications will be considered. Significant in-house experience within a highly regulated industry is essential, along with a strong background in advising on regulatory matters in complex, consumer-facing, or technology-driven sectors. Excellent legal analysis, drafting, and communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
