This role is integral to Box's mission of transforming how the world collaborates by enhancing the company's technology and go-to-market ecosystem.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will lead contract negotiations and vendor management for SaaS and tech categories, securing favorable commercial terms, service level agreements, and exit protections. Responsibilities include running end-to-end RFX processes, conducting supplier evaluations, and managing competitive bids to recommend data-driven supplier selections. The role also involves building cost models, presenting insights to drive savings and efficiency, drafting and negotiating various agreements in partnership with Legal, Compliance, and Security teams, and accelerating vendor onboarding while ensuring compliance with policies and security standards. Collaboration with IT, Marketing, GTM/Sales, and HR teams is essential to align category strategies with business goals and timelines.

Candidates should have over four years of experience in Strategic Sourcing or Procurement, with a strong background in indirect and technology/SaaS categories. Proven negotiation skills, particularly in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts such as NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, and licenses, are required. Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and cost modeling, is essential, along with clear data storytelling abilities. Experience with procurement tools like Coupa and/or Zip is advantageous, as is familiarity with Box and AI-enabled workflows. A customer-service mindset, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams are important. Candidates should be organized multi-taskers who can prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and possess strong business judgment. A bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Procurement, or a related field is required, with a master's degree or APICS certification considered a plus.
