Software Engineer III, Content Creation
The Software Engineer III, Content Creation role at Box focuses on developing and enhancing the Notes and Canvas products within the company's platform. The Content Creation team is responsible for building real-time editing services that utilize web sockets to deliver dynamic and interactive user experiences.
In this position, the engineer will compose detailed specifications and documentation for software projects, plan and execute project deliverables, and maintain development setup documentation. The role involves active participation in weekly stand-ups, team meetings, and one-on-one sessions with managers. Collaboration with other engineers and cross-functional teams is essential to drive the development of Box's content creation tools. Additionally, the engineer will participate in the on-call rotation to ensure the reliability and performance of the services.
Candidates should have at least four years of professional software development experience and hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or possess equivalent work experience. Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript is required, along with a solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles. Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Playwright is also necessary. The ability to assess project milestones, adapt to technical requirements, and propose innovative solutions is crucial. Proficiency in English is mandatory.
Preferred qualifications include experience with public cloud systems like GCP, AWS, or Azure, and a background in fast-paced, collaborative environments. Contributing to open-source projects is also advantageous.
