Staff Software Engineer, React Native
Box is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Mobile team in Warsaw, Poland, and lead a strategic platform transformation. As the world's leading Content Cloud, Box serves over 115,000 organizations globally, including nearly 70% of the Fortune 500. This role is pivotal in transitioning our mobile experience to React Native, ensuring feature parity across iOS, Android, and web platforms from a single codebase.
In this position, you will define and drive the technical direction and architecture of Box's React Native migration. Responsibilities include coaching and upskilling mobile engineers, embedding React Native best practices across the team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on product and platform strategies. Additionally, you will contribute hands-on code on architecturally critical areas and participate in our on-call rotation to address any arising issues.
The ideal candidate possesses 8–10+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep, hands-on expertise in React Native. Proven experience in building cross-platform mobile products targeting iOS, Android, and web is essential. Strong understanding of both iOS and Android platform fundamentals, excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, and experience mentoring engineers are also required. Proficiency in English is a must.
