Staff Software Engineer - Infra - Quality Platform - Remote across ANZ (Java/ Golang)
Canva is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure Quality Platform team. This role focuses on designing and evolving core components of our Quality Platform, enabling thousands of engineers to test features effectively. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining frameworks and tools that enhance the testing experience, addressing technical challenges across multiple systems, and improving developer ergonomics. The role also involves collaborating with engineers to co-design solutions that boost testing effectiveness and overall developer velocity. Additionally, the engineer will oversee the operational health and scalability of critical testing infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance as Canva grows.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in building robust software systems, with strong knowledge of system design, data structures, and operational best practices. A passion for developer empowerment, experience with developer tools, testing infrastructure, and CI/CD systems are essential. A solid understanding of test automation principles across various levels and the ability to create reliable, maintainable test suites and frameworks are also required. Effective communication skills and a proactive, adaptable approach are important for success in this role.
