Staff Software Engineer, Core Cloud Platform
AlphaSense is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Core Cloud Platform team, responsible for managing the company's cloud infrastructure, including AWS accounts, networking, storage, and Kubernetes clusters. This team supports hundreds of services and over 400 globally distributed engineers, ensuring the scalability and performance of our platform align with AlphaSense's rapid growth.
In this role, you will own, operate, and evolve our cloud and Kubernetes-based platform, continuously improving its security, reliability, cost efficiency, and performance. You will collaborate with product teams to empower them in building and owning their services, and work closely with other platform teams to create a coherent and high-quality platform. Additionally, you will build tooling and AI-powered integrations to reduce the cognitive load of managing complex infrastructure operations.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and AWS cloud services, along with a proven track record of running Kubernetes and cloud-based production SaaS systems at scale. A deep understanding of networking, service meshes, and gateways is essential. Proficiency in Python and Golang, particularly in building infrastructure tooling and Kubernetes operators, is highly desirable. Strong operational and troubleshooting skills with databases, messaging systems, and storage layers are also required.
The compensation range for this position is $223,100 to $305,000 USD annually. In addition to a competitive salary, AlphaSense offers equity options and a generous benefits program.
