Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Developer Experience

AlphaSense is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Cloud Developer Experience (Cloud DX) team. This team is responsible for the outer loop of software development, managing the process from code commit to production deployment for approximately 400 engineers worldwide. The role focuses on enhancing the CI/CD infrastructure, implementing progressive delivery practices, and integrating AI tools to improve developer productivity and software delivery processes.

Key responsibilities include owning and evolving the CI/CD architecture, driving improvements in pipeline reliability and speed, and defining streamlined paths for product teams to deploy code efficiently. The engineer will champion progressive delivery practices such as canary deployments and automated rollbacks, build tooling for observable and repeatable deployments, and collaborate with Cloud Platform teams to enhance the developer-facing delivery experience.

Candidates should have strong experience in Platform Engineering or Developer Experience roles, particularly in CI/CD and delivery within organizations of 200+ engineers. Proficiency in designing and operating delivery systems at scale, hands-on software development experience in Go, and a passion for progressive delivery practices are essential. Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes-based platforms, and AI tools to improve engineering processes is also desired.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $225,000 annually, along with potential equity and a generous benefits program.
