Staff Development Experience Engineer

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of developer experience initiatives, setting technical direction and guiding engineers through the development and deployment of these projects. Key responsibilities include standardizing build, test, and release workflows using tools like Jenkins and GitHub, managing Flux-based GitOps for environment promotion and rollback, and defining Helm chart standards for service teams. Additionally, you will design Kubernetes platform guardrails, build consistent developer workflows across AWS and on-premises environments, and establish service level objectives for platform services.
The ideal candidate has over seven years of experience in platform, DevOps, or site reliability engineering roles, with at least two years in leadership or mentoring positions. Proficiency in AWS and on-premises environments, CI/CD design, and site reliability engineering fundamentals is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to write clear design documents and present trade-offs are also required.
