Staff Applied AI Engineer, Enterprise GenAI

As a Staff Applied AI Engineer at Scale AI, you will be a key member of the Scale Generative Platform (SGP) Machine Learning team, working directly with enterprise clients to develop cutting-edge AI solutions. Scale AI is a leading AI data foundry, accelerating the development of AI applications across various industries, including generative AI, defense, and autonomous vehicles.

In this role, you will own, plan, and optimize AI solutions to address complex technical challenges faced by enterprise customers. Your responsibilities will include leveraging the SGP to build advanced AI agents with multimodal functionality and tool-calling capabilities, translating business requirements into technical solutions, collaborating cross-functionally with customer teams both onsite and virtually, and writing and debugging production code in multiple development environments.

The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of full-time engineering experience post-graduation, a strong engineering background with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, and proficiency in Python, including common libraries such as NumPy and Pandas. Experience with cloud technologies like AWS or GCP and a data-driven approach to iterating on machine learning models are also essential.

Compensation for this full-time position includes a base salary ranging from $216,000 to $270,000 USD, equity, and benefits such as comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, generous paid time off, and potentially a commuter stipend.
