Sr. VoIP Solutions Engineer
As a Senior VoIP Solutions Engineer at Bandwidth, you will be an integral part of our VoIP team, contributing to the design, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of tools and services that support our global voice network. In this role, you will focus on scaling and simplifying our VoIP infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with peers to build and refactor VoIP networks in a scalable, reliable, and repeatable manner. You will lead initiatives to evolve Bandwidth's global voice network and critically assess existing systems to identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
The ideal candidate will have over two years of experience as a VoIP Specialist in a carrier network, with a strong understanding of SIP, RTP, and related protocols. Proficiency in Linux, experience with instrumentation and observability tools, and familiarity with DevOps standards are essential. Additionally, experience with vendor solutions like Ribbon and AudioCodes, or open-source VoIP applications such as Asterisk, Freeswitch, Kamailio, or Opensips, is advantageous.
