SR Staff Mixed Methods User Researcher
Mozilla is seeking a Senior Staff Mixed Methods User Researcher to join the Firefox User Research team. This team is dedicated to human-centered exploration of complex problems, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative research methods to inform product and design strategies. As a Senior Staff Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of research practices and mentoring emerging researchers within the organization.
In this role, you will lead high-impact research studies, addressing complex and ambiguous challenges that directly influence product vision at the organizational level. Your responsibilities will include driving user-centered decision-making among executive leadership, collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, designers, engineers, data scientists, and marketers to identify and prioritize research opportunities aligned with business objectives. You will integrate diverse data sources to develop comprehensive, evidence-based perspectives on user experiences.
The ideal candidate will have over eight years of applied research experience, including strategic leadership roles within complex organizations, with at least six years in the tech or SaaS industry. You should possess extensive experience conducting both evaluative and generative research throughout the product development lifecycle, demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced, agile environments. Proficiency in qualitative methods, such as interviews and usability studies, along with practical experience in quantitative approaches like survey design and data analysis, is essential. Additionally, you should have a deep understanding of AI tools used in research workflows and the ability to critically evaluate their outputs.
