SR Staff Mixed Methods User Researcher
Mozilla is seeking a Senior Staff Mixed Methods User Researcher to join the Firefox User Research team. This role involves leading complex research studies and contributing to the strategic direction of research practices within the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, data scientists, and fellow researchers to inform product and design strategies.
Key responsibilities include leading high-stakes research studies that shape product vision at the organizational level, driving user-centered decision-making at the executive level, and partnering cross-functionally to identify high-impact research opportunities. The role also involves integrating diverse data sources to build evidence-based perspectives on user experience and defining standards for responsible AI use in research.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of applied research experience, including strategic research leadership in complex organizations, with at least 6 years in the tech or SaaS industry. They should possess extensive experience in both evaluative and generative research across multiple phases of the product development lifecycle, deep expertise in qualitative methods, and practical experience with quantitative approaches. Exceptional judgment in setting research priorities and a deep understanding of AI tools used in research workflows are also required.
