Sr. Manager, Compensation (Hybrid, Norwalk)
OpenTable is seeking a Senior Compensation Manager to enhance its ability to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This role involves providing comprehensive analysis, consultation, and insights on compensation matters, aligning with OpenTable's strategic objectives. The position is based in Norwalk, Connecticut, with a hybrid work model requiring two days per week in the office.
The Senior Compensation Manager will monitor and evaluate existing compensation practices, recommending cost-effective changes consistent with current trends and corporate goals. Responsibilities include effectively communicating OpenTable's compensation philosophy across all organizational levels, creating materials and training to illustrate variable and incentive compensation information, and leading mid-year and year-end compensation cycles to ensure smooth execution within internal and external controls. The role also involves collaborating with executives to advocate for compensation programs and tools, liaising with FP&A and the holding company to formulate accurate compensation forecasts, and serving as the subject matter expert for compensation structures and job profile data.
Candidates should possess a B.A./B.S. degree with approximately 10 years of experience as a Compensation Analyst or in a similar role within a tech environment. Strong analytical and technical skills, advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, and a growth mindset are essential. The ability to think creatively through ambiguity, deliver clear and influential messaging, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing business needs is crucial. Experience with Workday's advanced compensation functionality is also required.
OpenTable offers a competitive base salary ranging from $170,000 to $192,000, along with benefits including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement plans, life insurance, paid time off, and parental leave.
