Senior Frontend Software Engineer (Availability Planning & Experiences)
As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Availability Planning & Experiences team at OpenTable, you will develop tools that empower restaurants to manage their operations effectively. This role focuses on enhancing the Availability Planning system, which allows restaurants to set schedules, define shifts, arrange tables, and fine-tune booking parameters. Additionally, you will contribute to the Experiences feature, enabling restaurants to create and showcase unique events and offerings to guests.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing user-friendly interfaces using modern frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Redux. You will collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product owners to deliver intuitive solutions that balance precision and flexibility. Ensuring code quality through robust testing frameworks like React Testing Library, Jest, and Cypress will be a key aspect of your day-to-day work.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of professional experience as a software developer in a team environment, with extensive expertise in React. Strong communication skills are essential, particularly the ability to articulate technical trade-offs between different solutions. Experience with design collaboration tools like Figma and a commitment to writing maintainable, reusable code are also required. Familiarity with emerging AI technologies such as Copilot and ChatGPT to enhance workflow is considered a plus.
