Sr. Event Manager
The Senior Event Manager at Klaviyo will lead the strategic planning and execution of the company's presence at major industry events, including Shoptalk Spring, eTail West, and NRF, as well as support the annual flagship user conference, K:Boston. This role is integral to the Brand, Creative, and Events Team, contributing to Klaviyo's mission of empowering creators to own their destiny by delivering impactful event experiences.
Key responsibilities include managing all aspects of tradeshows and industry events, from booth design and vendor coordination to on-site logistics and post-event follow-up. The Senior Event Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, customer success, product marketing, and partners to ensure events align with broader go-to-market strategies. Additionally, the role involves developing and executing pre- and post-event plans, including promotional strategies, lead capture, and follow-up execution, while analyzing event performance to provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of hands-on event management experience, preferably in a fast-paced B2B SaaS or tech company. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships across teams. The candidate should be a self-motivated project manager capable of handling multiple priorities with attention to detail, a proactive problem-solver who knows when to escalate challenges, and someone who thrives under pressure during high-visibility events. Proficiency with AI tools, Salesforce, and event platforms such as Splash and Swoogo is also required.
The base salary for this position ranges from $92,000 to $138,000 USD, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package may include participation in the company's annual cash bonus plan, variable compensation for sales and customer success roles, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility. This role may require up to 10% travel for purposes such as new hire onboarding, client or partner work, team meetings, and industry events, with travel coordinated in advance.
