The Senior Manager, Orchestrate at Klaviyo will lead multiple engineering teams responsible for the creation, configuration, execution, and performance insights of customer communication experiences across channels. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of multi-channel orchestration, including email, SMS, push notifications, and emerging channels, ensuring systems scale with the growing needs of over 170,000 brands that engage their audiences through Klaviyo's platform.

Key responsibilities include leading and scaling engineering teams focused on Flows and Campaigns configuration, orchestration, and reporting experiences. The role involves setting technical and organizational direction for Klaviyo’s orchestration platform, driving planning and execution across teams, shaping the architecture of core orchestration systems, and partnering with Product and Design leadership to define long-term vision and translate it into intuitive, high-impact customer experiences.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of software engineering experience with strong full-stack fundamentals and at least 5 years of engineering management experience, including managing managers or multiple teams. Proven ability to lead large, complex product areas with significant business impact, experience designing and evolving scalable distributed systems, and a track record of growing leaders and building high-performing teams are essential. Familiarity with modern web stacks (React, TypeScript) and backend systems (Go, Python, Django/FastAPI or similar), as well as experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), DevOps practices, and distributed systems tooling, are also required.

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $216,000 to $324,000 USD, determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
