Senior Product Manager, Core Data
Klaviyo is seeking a highly technical Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution for our Data Ingestion Platform. This newly formed team is responsible for data ingestion into Klaviyo’s core data objects, acting as the interface that ensures data flows cleanly, reliably, and at scale into foundational systems. As Klaviyo continues to scale, the quality, reliability, and architecture of our ingestion systems are increasingly critical to product performance and customer trust. This role requires 3 days per week in our Boston office; fully remote candidates will not be considered.
The Senior Product Manager will define the vision and roadmap for how large volumes of data from diverse sources are ingested, transformed, and made reliable within Klaviyo’s core systems. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining a coherent, high-impact roadmap that balances foundational investments with active initiatives, refining prioritization and sequencing across multiple concurrent projects, and partnering with engineering to design ingestion systems that are scalable, resilient, and maintainable. The role also involves driving improvements in observability, monitoring, and operational excellence for ingestion systems, and identifying architectural simplifications that improve platform health over time.
Candidates should have strong experience as a Platform Product Manager, ideally in data infrastructure or distributed systems environments, with a deep understanding of data architecture and large-scale systems. Experience working with event-driven systems, high-volume ingestion pipelines, or complex data movement patterns is essential. The role requires comfort engaging in highly technical discussions around pipelines, infrastructure, and system evolution, as well as the ability to define structure and clarity in ambiguous, newly forming teams. Skilled stakeholder management across multiple technical organizations and the ability to think strategically while managing highly technical execution details are also important.
The base salary for this position ranges from $136,000 to $204,000 USD annually, determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
