Sr. Counsel, Global Alliance Legal
The Senior Counsel, Global Alliances Legal at AbbVie will be integral to the company's strategic external collaborations, focusing on partnerships in Immunology, Immuno-Oncology, and Artificial Intelligence. This role involves working closely with research and development, corporate strategy, business development, and commercial teams to manage and enhance AbbVie's global alliances from discovery through commercialization.
Key responsibilities include advising on alliance, partnership, and collaboration matters across the pharmaceutical life cycle, drafting and negotiating complex agreements such as licenses and collaboration agreements, and supporting due diligence and integration planning for new partnership opportunities. The role also requires interpreting and analyzing strategic agreements and providing clear legal advice to business and leadership teams.
Candidates must possess a J.D. degree and meet the professional licensing requirements of their practicing state. A minimum of six years of relevant experience is required, including drafting and negotiating life science or pharmaceutical transactions, advising on complex global collaborations, or providing counsel on pharmaceutical research and development. Experience with AI/ML technologies in drug development is preferred, along with a scientific background or a strong interest in biology and chemistry.
