Software Engineer II - WhatsApp
Klaviyo is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our WhatsApp team, focusing on enhancing our newest messaging channel. This role involves developing end-to-end solutions using both front-end and back-end technologies to improve existing products and create new capabilities that push the boundaries of customer engagement. The WhatsApp team is responsible for building and operating the core WhatsApp product surface across Klaviyo, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
In this position, you will tackle complex challenges, explore multiple solutions, and weigh business and technical trade-offs to determine the best path forward. Key responsibilities include building and operating WhatsApp-specific capabilities such as outbound and inbound pipelines and Meta template management. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to drive impact beyond immediate scope and to continuously learn and adapt in a fast-moving environment.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building high-quality products and systems, with a focus on writing clean, maintainable code. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a software engineering role is required, along with experience in building end-to-end software solutions or deep expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies. Familiarity with code reviews, robust testing practices, and working in agile, fast-paced environments is also expected.
The base salary for this position ranges from $116,000 to $174,000 annually, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
