Software Engineer II - Social Team
Klaviyo is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Social Team, focusing on integrating social media interactions into our core platform to enhance customer engagement. In this role, you'll develop end-to-end solutions that connect channels like Instagram Direct Messages to Klaviyo’s system, capturing high-intent profiles and engagement data from social traffic. This position is based in Boston, MA, with a hybrid work model requiring three days in the office per week.
As a Software Engineer II, you will tackle complex technical challenges, explore multiple solution paths, and weigh business and technical trade-offs to determine the best approach. Your responsibilities will include contributing to design discussions, shaping architectural decisions, and delivering well-designed, thoroughly tested features that prioritize reliability, performance, and user experience. Collaboration is central to this role, as you'll work closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and data partners across Klaviyo.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building high-quality products and systems, with a focus on writing clean, maintainable code. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a software engineering role is required, along with experience in building end-to-end software solutions or deep expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies. Familiarity with code reviews and robust testing practices, as well as experience working in agile, fast-paced environments, is essential.
Klaviyo offers a competitive base salary ranging from $116,000 to $174,000 USD, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition to base salary, our total compensation package may include participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
