The DMG team plays a crucial role in powering core functionalities and generating data-driven insights for the company.

As a Software Engineer II on the DMG team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining systems that support other engineering teams across Klaviyo. Your day-to-day work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design systems, writing high-quality code, creating infrastructure, and operating large-scale systems in a production environment. The role requires a proactive approach to tackling technical challenges and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent experience in a software engineering discipline and at least 2 years of experience in the field. Proficiency in at least one modern programming language is essential, along with experience in designing, building, and operating distributed systems in a cloud computing environment. Familiarity with OLTP or OLAP databases, high-volume data processing and storage systems, and infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform is also required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are important, as is a capacity for continuous learning and problem-solving.

Klaviyo offers a competitive base salary ranging from $116,000 to $174,000 USD, depending on factors such as job-related skills, experience, education, and work location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package may include participation in the company's annual cash bonus plan, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
