Twitch is seeking a Software Engineer I to join its Commerce Engineering team, which is responsible for developing products like Subscriptions, Gifting, Bits, Hype Train, and Turbo. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative features that enhance the live streaming experience for millions of users.

In this position, you will craft immersive, interactive experiences that encourage viewer support for creators while engaging with the Twitch community. You will architect and build robust, scalable applications capable of handling millions of concurrent users. Collaboration across teams is essential to create cohesive solutions that drive business impact, and you will transform customer feedback into innovative features that enhance the Twitch experience.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with teammates. A track record of building consumer-facing products that users love is essential. Demonstrable experience with modern programming languages and frameworks, along with sharp problem-solving skills focusing on algorithms, data structures, and schema design, are required. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent real-world experience is necessary.

The base salary range for this position is $110,500 to $160,000 annually in Seattle, WA, and $127,100 to $185,000 annually in San Francisco, CA. The compensation package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
