Senior Volatility and Options Strategist
Galaxy is seeking a Senior Volatility and Options Strategist to lead research and trading initiatives within its derivatives team. Galaxy is a global leader in digital assets and data center infrastructure, providing solutions that accelerate progress in finance and artificial intelligence. The company operates at the intersection of finance and technology, offering services such as trading, investment banking, asset management, staking, self-custody, and tokenization technology.
In this role, the strategist will analyze, price, and trade options and volatility products across spot, futures, and options markets. Responsibilities include identifying and capitalizing on cross-market dislocations, designing and managing complex options strategies, and collaborating with trading, risk, and technology teams to implement and scale strategies. Monitoring volatility surfaces, Greeks, and market microstructure to inform real-time trading decisions is also a key aspect of the position.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in options trading, volatility research, or derivatives strategy. A demonstrated ability to generate alpha through active options and volatility trading is essential. Deep understanding of options theory, including Greeks, volatility surfaces, hedging dynamics, and market microstructure, is required. Experience trading or structuring strategies in equity options markets and exposure to crypto derivatives, including options and futures, are also important. A strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate theory into executable trading strategies is crucial.
