Senior Tax Analyst - Tax Operations
Twitch is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Analyst to join its dynamic Tax Team. This role involves managing the Vertex tax system, performing data analysis, compiling data for global information reporting and tax compliance, supporting AI and automation initiatives, and contributing to overall tax compliance and operational excellence. The position reports to the Tax Director overseeing tax operations and compliance teams, and is based in either Seattle, WA, or San Francisco, CA.
Key responsibilities include partnering with internal business partners to collect, prepare, and submit global information reporting forms; assisting in the maintenance, operation, and configuration of Vertex; supporting efforts to incorporate AI and automation into existing tax compliance and reporting processes; collaborating on complex data-driven projects; assisting with system implementation projects and new product initiatives; preparing Forms 1099 and 1042S; analyzing monthly reconciliations of transaction reports to revenue reports; responding to tax inquiries from customers, vendors, and internal departments; and assisting with indirect tax, DST, SALT, and other transactional tax compliance as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; experience in an ERP environment such as SAP or Oracle; over four years of tax experience in a Big 4 firm or the tech industry; significant experience with Vertex, including rule mapping, transaction testing, MDU/SR updates, and systems integration; proficiency in Alteryx; and proficiency with productivity tools like Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace, as well as tax research tools such as CCH, RIA, and BNA. Preferred qualifications include CPA certification or an MS in Tax, and experience with large data set analysis and summarization.

The base salary range for this position is $82,700 to $112,300 annually in Seattle, WA, and $72,600 to $123,500 annually in San Francisco, CA. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
