Senior Solutions Engineer (Public Sector)
The Senior Solutions Engineer (Public Sector) at Box plays a pivotal role in driving the adoption of Box's Intelligent Content Management platform within public sector organizations. This position is part of the Solutions Engineering Team, which includes solutions engineers, value engineering, platform solution engineering, enterprise architects, and demo engineering. Box is a leader in Intelligent Content Management, enabling organizations to fuel collaboration, manage the entire content lifecycle, secure critical content, and transform business workflows with enterprise AI.
In this role, the Senior Solutions Engineer is responsible for researching, exploring, and identifying customer business problems, owning the technical win for the lifecycle of the customer, serving as a subject matter expert across multiple industries, and taking responsibility for driving the technical deal forward. The role also involves understanding product integrations, including Salesforce, Google, and Office365, leading demos articulating the value of Box by selling the full suite of solutions, and supporting field marketing events as a Box subject matter expert and presenter. The position requires up to 50% travel to engage with customers.
Candidates should have a four-year degree or equivalent work experience, with at least five years of enterprise field solutions engineering experience or relevant technical, customer-facing experience. Experience with state, local, education (SLED), and federal accounts is required, along with strong knowledge of FedRAMP authorization processes and other compliance frameworks impacting SaaS vendors serving the public sector. Knowledge of government procurement cycles, RFP/RFI processes, and contract vehicles (e.g., GSA schedules) is essential. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, tools, and how they integrate into enterprise solutions is also important. The role requires strong presentation skills, with the ability to establish trust across a range of technical and non-technical audiences, and a passion for designing demos and narratives that make the power of Box AI tangible.
Box offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a base salary range of $181,000 to $226,500, equity, and benefits.
