SeatGeek, a leader in modernizing the ticketing industry, is committed to providing secure and seamless experiences for its users. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical security initiatives that strengthen SeatGeek's secure-by-default approach.
In this position, your responsibilities will include building and contributing to secure-by-default protections across the stack, including cloud, CI/CD, applications, and endpoints. You will provide practical security guidance on new products and technologies, recommend secure-by-default patterns, and help secure SeatGeek's use of AI by building guardrails and reviewing for risks like prompt injection and sensitive-data exposure. Additionally, you will contribute to design reviews, threat modeling, and build security tooling that automates detection and response in production.
The ideal candidate will have over three years of hands-on experience across multiple security domains, with strong software engineering fundamentals. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, and C# is essential, along with a track record of driving security projects from design through rollout and adoption. Experience in partnering across product, platform, and business functions to achieve cross-team security outcomes is also required.
Compensation for this role includes an equity stake and a discretionary annual bonus. SeatGeek offers a flexible work environment, allowing you to work as many days a week in the office as you'd like or 100% remotely. Additional benefits include a work-from-home stipend, unlimited paid time off, up to 16 weeks of fully-paid family leave, 401(k) matching, student loan matching, health, vision, dental, and life insurance, and up to $25,000 towards family building, reproductive health services, and gender-affirming care.
SeatGeek fosters a collaborative and innovative culture, emphasizing security as a key component of its product development process. As a senior engineer, you will have the opportunity to own meaningful work end-to-end and help make the secure path the easy path. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about security and eager to contribute to a company that values curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
