SeatGeek is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Platform team in New York City. This role focuses on designing, building, and supporting shared platform systems and tooling that enable teams across SeatGeek to develop and run services reliably. As a member of the Platform organization, you'll play a crucial role in providing a secure and reliable foundation for building and shipping products.

In this position, you'll collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to address performance, scalability, and reliability needs as SeatGeek's marketplace and business grow. Your responsibilities will include designing and building shared platform systems, contributing to system reliability and observability, and participating in operating production systems, including supporting releases and responding to incidents. Additionally, you'll work to identify and improve friction points in how software is built and operated at SeatGeek.

Ideal candidates will have experience contributing to the design, development, or operation of shared systems, platforms, or infrastructure that support other engineers or teams. A strong background in building, running, or improving production systems, with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability, is essential. Proficiency in languages such as Python, Go, HCL, and YAML, as well as experience with version control systems like GitLab, is preferred. Familiarity with infrastructure tools like AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform, and monitoring tools like Datadog, is also beneficial.
