Senior Software Engineer
SeatGeek is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Research and Development (R&D) team. As a technology innovator in the ticketing industry, SeatGeek aims to disrupt the $300 billion market by simplifying and modernizing ticketing processes. The R&D team plays a crucial role in developing and enhancing SeatGeek's platform to provide seamless experiences for performers, venues, and fans.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a modern, containerized, service-oriented architecture, employing industry-leading software development practices. You will deploy code to production multiple times a day, addressing complex performance challenges, building a multifaceted marketplace, and scaling software to support SeatGeek's growing business. Additionally, you will develop efficient, user-friendly interfaces that delight users and strengthen the brand.
Ideal candidates should have experience in building business-critical software in fast-paced environments, with a strong focus on solving complex technical problems. A passion for software craftsmanship and product development is essential, as is a product mindset that considers user experience and business impact. Experience in owning end-to-end payment systems and integrations with external processors, as well as operating payment systems in production, is highly desirable.
Compensation for this role includes an equity stake and a discretionary annual bonus. SeatGeek offers a flexible work environment, allowing you to work as many days a week in the office as you'd like or 100% remotely.
