As a Senior Software Engineer at Emplifi, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining applications and back-end services for the Ratings and Reviews (R&R) product within the Social Commerce group. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a product that helps brands collect and showcase customer feedback to build trust and boost conversions.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to tackle complex challenges in collecting, managing, and displaying high-quality product reviews, Q&As, checkout comments, and seller ratings. Your responsibilities will include developing scalable back-end APIs, integrating with e-commerce platforms, and ensuring the performance and reliability of web services built primarily with Java. Additionally, you will be expected to influence the direction of product offerings through both technical and user-focused thinking.

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) and experience with frameworks such as Groovy, Grails, or Spring Boot. Proficiency in event-driven architecture and messaging systems like Apache Kafka, as well as familiarity with search technologies like OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, is highly desirable. Strong skills in SQL, Hibernate, and Spring Core, along with experience in relational databases and knowledge of NoSQL data stores, will be beneficial. A proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
