Senior Software Engineer, Home Web
Box is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Home Web team, focusing on maintaining and developing our core web platform. This role involves driving architectural discussions, defining frontend initiatives related to feature development and refactoring, and developing end-to-end solutions. The team is responsible for ensuring the platform's availability at a 99.99% level, collaborating closely with engineers and architects to implement solutions that enhance our enterprise experiences.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining core web platform capabilities, leading architectural decisions to improve reliability and performance, modernizing legacy codebases with strong testing practices, and collaborating with teams across Poland and the US to plan and execute quarterly objectives. The role also involves creating clear technical documentation, leveraging AI tools to accelerate development, and participating in on-call rotations to ensure platform availability.
The ideal candidate has over 5 years of professional software development experience, with proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Node.js. Experience in improving legacy codebases, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in English are essential. A growth mindset and the ability to leverage AI tools to enhance development processes are also important.
