Senior Software Engineer - Devx
Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the DevX team, a hybrid product-platform group dedicated to empowering external developers and partners by supporting applications built on Klaviyo's Public APIs and features. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the direction and priorities of the team, contributing to the development of Klaviyo's app marketplace, application publishing workflows, and developer-facing tools.
Key responsibilities include working on Klaviyo's app marketplace, application publishing workflows, and developer-facing tools and systems that support the app ecosystem. The engineer will also provide quality PR reviews, collaborate with product owners to provide technical expertise on upcoming product specifications, and participate in defining well-scoped, estimated, and planned work.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in software engineering, with expertise in full-stack application development, both monolithic and microservices architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and debugging performance issues. Proficiency in Python, Django REST Framework, Django, fastAPI, React, React Query, MySQL/PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, Clickhouse, JSON Forms, Redis, Memcached, RabbitMQ, Celery, and Apache Pulsar is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (preferably in Python) and working with RESTful applications/APIs/gRPC.
Klaviyo offers a competitive base salary ranging from $148,000 to $222,000, determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, education, and work location. The total compensation package may also include participation in the company's annual cash bonus plan, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits.
